Oak Creek Horse Ranch is located in the mountains of Julian on the eastern border of San Diego County, California. The ranch lies at an altitude of 4500 feet and enjoys the changes of all four seasons, from moderate snow falls in winter, balmy brisk spring days, warm dry summers and colorful blustery autumns. The weather can be quite changeable so come prepared for hot or cold as the evening temperatures can drop rapidly.

The town of Julian was a gold mining town back in the 1800s and it retains a lot of the old west charm, it is surrounded by State Parks, Federal National Forests, County Parks and Open Space Preserves offering numerous horseback riding trails in an assortment of different terrains. The ranch backs onto the San Dieguito River Park Trail which when complete will encompass 55 miles of trail from Volcan Mountain in Julian to the ocean at Del Mar.

Oak Creek Horse Ranch can be reached from 3 major freeways.  Off the I-5 or the I-15 (which will take you North or South) hit the 78/79 East into Julian.  It is a fairly straight run although there are areas of windy roads through the mountains.  The Ranch is North, one mile, on Wynola Road.
